Bespoke commission ~ Bi-Colour Sapphire and Platinum engagement ring

It's always a pleasure to work with a couple to design the perfect engagement ring together, making the whole experience something to remember.

The brief was a minimal and clean design with a preference for a unique bi-colour Sapphire. All unheated Sapphires have natural colour banding so are often heated to disguise this and intensify the colour The natural colour banding in this stone has a lighter blue band going through the middle which had been cleverly cut so the darker blue is at each end. 

The continuous swirl of Platinum around the ethically sourced sapphire gives it an elegant but unique asymmetry which is also symbolic in the work she does in biochemistry.
