Remodel - Emerald and diamond gold ring

Family heirlooms are inherently precious, but sometimes they may not be wearable and sadly languish in the jewellery box. This customer's inherited emerald ring had been stored away for 10 years before she'd bumped into me at a craft fair and we got chatting about remodels.

The brief was to design something suitable for everyday wear that would also compliment her engagement ring. She also wanted to keep some of the diamonds back to make into a ring her her daughter.

We came up with a slightly art deco design and used a brushed finish to keep it contemporary. I couldn't be happier with the way it came out. Below are the pictures of the before and after.
